Common Questions
For In-person & Online Therapy in Toronto and Across Ontario
Does insurance cover psychotherapy services?
Should I do in-person or virtual therapy sessions?
Psychotherapy services provided by members of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) are covered by many insurance plans. After each session, you will receive a receipt that can be submitted for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm that your plan includes coverage for psychotherapy services.
Choosing between in-person and online sessions depends on what feels most supportive for you. Some people appreciate the connection and grounding of being in the same space, while others value the flexibility and comfort of meeting virtually.
For somatic or body-based work, some clients prefer in-person sessions to feel more present and supported. If you're unsure, we can talk together about what might suit you best — and you're always welcome to switch formats as your needs change.
What is your cancellation policy?
For cancellations within 24 hours of your session, the regular session fee will be charged. I understand that unexpected things can come up, but having this policy helps maintain fairness and consistency in scheduling.
In rare cases where you need to cancel due to an emergency, please send me an email and we can discuss your situation together.
Where can I find parking?
Paid parking is available just north of the building on Sherbourne, and there is also limited street parking on Adelaide or King.
How do I pay for my sessions?
Payment is processed securely through my secure online booking system, Jane. I keep a credit card on file and charge it after each session, and you’ll receive a receipt for your records or to submit to insurance.
What is a Registered Psychotherapist
(Qualifying)?
A Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), or RP(Q), is a therapist who has completed their core psychotherapy training and is in the first few years of their professional practice, working under supervision as they build experience.

I work under the supervision of Ahmed El-Sadig (CRPO #12564) for individual work, and Sarah Hyndman (CRPO #006668) for couples and family work.
What if I have a complaint?
It’s really important to me that you feel safe, heard, and respected in our work together. If you ever have a concern or feel something isn’t sitting right, you’re invited to bring it to me so we can slow down, talk it through, and try to repair it together. I am always open to hearing how I can do better for you.

If you don’t feel comfortable raising it with me directly, or if it doesn’t feel resolved, you can also reach out to the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), which oversees my profession, to learn more about their formal complaint process.
